For all the talk about how younger workers desire and need learning experiences, the opposite is also true: The rest of us must learn from them — and from how they learn. That means we should stop playing catch-up with technology, avoid dating ourselves with stale stories about how things worked “back in the day,” offer individualized learning when we train or coach people (today’s learners expect that), and communicate frequently and openly with younger employees to keep the learning flowing in both directions.
